LRPC is a part of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America, and our Constitution is available here. The Westminster Confession of Faith, the Reformed Presbyterian Testimony, and the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms, all included in the Constitution, are our full statement of faith. The following is a brief summary of our beliefs.
1. We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the Word of God, the only infallible rule for faith and life.
2. We believe in the one living and true God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as revealed in the Scriptures.
3. We believe that this world is the good creation of God, including people, who were made male and female in his image. Our first parents, Adam and Eve, sinned against God by breaking his law, bringing his curse on this world. All people are sinful and are in need of a Savior to escape the just wrath of God.
4. We believe that God sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to be the Savior of this world. By his death for sin and resurrection from the dead he has secured salvation for all who repent of their sins and put their trust in him. There is no other name under heaven by which people might be saved.
5. We believe that the Christian life, though never earning God's favor, does involve an effort to forsake all sin and to be conformed to the image of Christ, seeking that holiness without which no one will see the Lord. This life is possible by God's grace as we diligently use the tools which he has given us to grow in godliness, especially the word of God, the sacraments of baptism and the Lord's supper, prayer, and fellowship with believers.
6. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, who ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God, will return to earth to gather his people and judge the world. All people will be raised from the dead; the righteous to eternal life, and the wicked to eternal punishment.
It pleased God, in His eternal purpose, to choose and ordain the Lord Jesus, His only begotten Son, to be the Mediator between God and man; the Prophet, Priest, and King, the Head and Saviour of His Church...
