The Laramie Reformed Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA).
The RPCNA is founded upon the conviction that the Bible is:
- the Word of God
- infallibly inspired
- given to us to instruct us what we are to believe concerning God and man
- to be obeyed regarding how we are to live each day of our lives
The Bible tells us and we believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is:
- the foundation stone of the church
- the divine Son of God
- our only Savior from sin
- coming again to receive his believing children and to judge the world
The RPCNA’s full doctrinal statement is found in the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, and the Reformed Presbyterian Testimony.
The Laramie Reformed Presbyterian Church (LRPC) was started as a work in June 2007. We were organized as a mission church in January 2010. We are part of the Midwest Presbytery and have a provisional session of elders who oversee the work.
The Life of the LRPC: It is our goal to be a Biblical, Christ-centered and God-glorifying congregation, who is faithful to Reformed doctrine, worship, practice and discipline and which is marked by sound preaching of the Word, prayer, edification of the saints, loving fellowship and evangelization of the lost.
“Reformed” means that we adhere to the biblical principles of the Protestant Reformation. “Presbyterian” refers to our form of church government, in which local churches are under the leadership of elected elders, who in turn are under the oversight of regional Presbyteries and a national Synod.
Organization and Leadership
Presbyterian government is based upon the oversight of individual congregations by elders. Presbyterianism also recognizes the right and responsibility of the congregation to elect its own elders, deacons and other officers.
A typical RPCNA congregation’s organization consists of the following groups:
- Session (teaching and ruling elders)
- Deacon Board
- Congregational Officers
- Congregational Committees
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
